Who we are

Built by the workers who were let go

In the mid-1950s the Coffee Board shut its coffee houses and dismissed the staff. Led by A.K. Gopalan, the workers formed their own co-operatives. The Thrissur society was registered on 10 February 1958, and its first coffee house opened on 8 March 1958. It was the fourth in the country.
